After the death of his father in 1978, Zbigniew Kwiatkowski wrote these reminiscences about his experiences as a young boy; of his family being cleaved away from their happy home in Kresy and of his family's fate crossing continents to a life in a foreign country. These writings are taken from notes made by his father, Stanisław Kwiatkowski, in the 1960s and from Zbigniew’s own writings at school soon after arrival in the UK. Both were able to draw on an enhanced ability to retain information and events.
