POETRY
Grasp your hammers and to work,
forge the nation's estate.
Fulfil the dreams of
your dearest sleep.
From childhood to old age
stand by the workplace and
devote your most heartfelt emotions
to your homeland

YOUNG SETTLER’S HYMN
(lyrics: J. Huczyński; music: Jan Maklakiewicz)

From Borderland settlements somewhere on the frontiers,
From battlefields, toughened by hardship,
With soldiers’ blood coursing,
The Marshall’s young, hearty legions arise again.
We, from intense labour in our strongholds,
Advance, armed with a thirst for knowledge,
For conquest of souls, conquest of hearts,
Awaken to action, with love, with fortitude.

From Wołyń, from Wilno, from beyond the Prypiat
From Nowogródek lands, Dzisna huts,
The Borderland children go to work -
To create a brighter, better world.
We, from intense labour...

Today, the school desk is the battlefield
Confronting the might of ignorance,
In learning, in work lies our glory
In unity is our strength, our might.
We, from intense labour...

The Marshall’s* orders command
Increased yields, ‘tis time for sowing
There will be no other than Your vision,
Here, settlers belong to You.
We, from intense labour...

*Marshall Piłsudski
